I had been wanting to try Gabi for awhile now, and finally had the opportunity earlier in the week. At first, I didn't know where it was. It is in a strip mall next to a plastic surgery place and a claw arcade, but they have no sign or anything, it is just a big wooden door that definitely stands out. The door also doesn't seem to close on its own, and there is no interior handle on it (at least not that I saw), so it is a bit difficult to close, which I find strange. But whatever, it looks nice. And that is something that I think many people will immediately notice about Gabi in general: it looks really nice. The interior is really neat, and makes you feel like you're drinking coffee in a botanical study. There are a bunch of old beaten up books stacked under the counter at the front. There are nice leather couches and chairs, and more traditional tables. The atmosphere is really cool. If I lived a bit closer I could definitely see myself working here from time to time. One thing that I did find weird, though, was that there is no drink menu at the counter. Again, maybe I missed it? It seems strange not to have one. But the employee was kind enough to give me a binder with food and drink, so I stepped aside and browsed. And let me tell you, the first thing I noticed was that this place is PRICEY! I ordered the 20oz Lavender Mocha Latte and with tax it was over $10. OUCH. Even for SF/Tokyo/NYC that is steep. So I had high expectations. And it was good enough. However, they don't have skim milk, your only choices are oat, coconut, and a few other lactose alternatives. I opted for oat, and that added another $0.50 to my drink total. Also, I found the latte quite sweet for my taste. I am sure I could have them tune it down a bit (and if I return I will be sure to ask). Definitely not the best coffee I have had, which normally wouldn't be a huge knock. BUT, it is the most expensive cup of coffee I have had in a long time. Granted, the size is generous. 20oz is a lot of liquid! But still, the price is just insane. It is so insane, in fact, that two business bros who were in front of me while I waited to order balked at the price tag and opted to go somewhere else instead. I guess they didn't have the company card that day. Overall I wanted to like this place a lot. The service was great, and the atmosphere rules. But no skim milk, steep price tags, and an overall lean towards sweeter/IG friendly drinks makes me take a bit of pause. There are a lot of great places in Vegas that really focus on the coffee. I didn't feel like this was one of them. A neat novelty spot, sure, but perhaps better left for times when you're looking for a treat or some food. I will probably swing by again sometime. But I am in no rush.

This place was good. Drinks were delicious but a bit on the pricier side. Place does get busy, but we didn't have any problems finding a seat. Store is aesthetically pleasing. Warning- their front door is heavy, use caution when opening to leave because we almost got hit by a customer coming out as we were passing by!
